Capt. Squid!,

Madeira is a pretty long haul from Cali-12 hrs. to London then 2.5 hrs. to Maderia but is it worth it. Back in the Mid 90's when we were running our other charter boat, Pesca Grossa, I would make 1 or 2 trips per season.

With the new boat I am hoping to make 3 trips. The Place is amazing, think european food and culture with grander marlin fishin 500yds offshore. Also, because we are fishing in the Lee of an island...Flat Calm seas.

It's just a great place to visit.

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing pix in your catalog that were taken in Madeira aboard the Pesca Grossa. What kind of boat was that? Is this new boat replacing it?

Pesca Grossa is still in Madeira, this boat is in addition to Pesca Grossa. As for the Northern Lights, she is running sweet in Kona. Too Expensive to ship from Kona and besides the new 37 is glass hulled and will be better for low maintenance in Madiera.

Pesca Grossa is a griffin marine built in Australia. Neat little boat that the fish love!
