First Time luremaker
Well I posted a question about making your own resin head lures. I did get a few replies and decided to have a go at it. Here was the final result of making my first lure. Thank for all the advice !!

Nice JOB!!!
Looks great, get it out running!!!!
Make your skirt ridges just about an 1/8" narrower and I think you can help your cause. Also, make them 1/4" larger for the Vinyl guys to use!!! Good work...Keep it up!!!

lure making
Man---thats a great first one. Shoulda seen some of my early ones. I'm no pro, but have been doing it about 2 years. So far i've gotten mahi, wahoo, tuna, sails, and blue marlin on my lures. Its also cool as gifts for crew (and even better when they get a blue on one!!). Keep going, and let me know if u got any questions. Here's a few big and small, and at the bottom what they look like just out of mold, and before skirting. Good luck, Tom

Notice the bulge on the top skirt per head diameter...mo drag...less action
The skirt should lay flat with the head...same diameters...true head action...streamline body...mo betta...mo neater. |
