Capt. Billy Thomas - Savanna Lynn-Wahoo Challenge Series Champion
Team Sponsor Savanna Lynn did it again...Big fish was caught on my WahooKing red/black silver head...Also, 9 out of their 13 Hoo's on day 1 were caught on Melton's exclusive WahooKing gold head-green/black...Rods used were Melton's custom made bent butts.
 Capt. Billy took home 1 place overall leg 3, 1st place day 1 daily, big fish for leg 3 and crowned OVERALL WAHOO CHALLENGE SERIES CHAMPION PS- Jason, tell Mike I'm sending tournament shirts for him....Also, more pics to come with lures + fish Last edited by WahooKing; 02-26-2008 at 03:14 AM. |

Interesting Crew
A few years back we docked beside Billy and his crew in the Bahama Wahoo Championship, We were lucky to be riding a 45 Sportfishermen that year and he and his crew, which has included his family in the past, sister, brother, Mom and more.. where and still are fishing their Yellowfin flatforms.
Well those winter Bahama tournaaments can be rough, seas and winds are a blowin, I witnessed him and his crew including his sister and on one occasion I believe mother and more bundle up in the Grundins and head out on a TOUGH day running out and back fishing all day and no doubt getting thoroughly beat up and soaked but still producing a nice days catch, I believe Billy took 1st or 2nd that year as well going neck and neck with Scatterbrain. They fish hard and play hard  and their results show it. Congrats Billy! |
