Bon Apetit!

After a long gestation, premature birth, and now a thorough and labored incubation i am happy to report that MAXIMO is officially off the critical care list, now lives on the second floor, and has been elevated to OUT PATIENT STATUS, slated to check out before the full moon.

Make no mistake about it...this baby will be walking out of the delivery room under her own power in less than 48 short hours.

As fate, and it's twisted, ironic sense of humor would have it...i'll be on the BOOMER fishing tuna when it happens on Friday but so be it. Dad's been there through most of the delivery, and will be waiting with anxious, open arms when he returns to meet the new baby in the water in another week.

Man i will not be able to sleep between now and next week, when i will return to introduce the MAXIMO to a few denizens of the deep. Namely Xiphias Gladius...AKA SWORDFISH!!!

What's that i smell cookin???? Oui miseur...zat vud be greeeeld brawdbill avec un hint of amor. Bon appetit!!!

Josh, you may have made Carolina boat building history as the first to add a swim platform to a Carolina hull.

Best of luck with your new baby, she's a looker.

I hear ya Wireman...but every time i cringe when i think about that i have to remember the 57 feet in front of what that abortion is bolted to.

The boss got to pick the swim step, i'll settle for the other 57 feet. Sigh...always a compromise...

You know the funny thing is i was walking around the yard with a fist-full of $100 bills trying to bribe the forklift operator, the travel lift driver, heck even the lunch truck jockey from Haiti to run over the damn thing when it was still sitting beside the boat on a couple of pallets...no takers...the boss must have come through before me with a larger offer!!!

Josh,

I'm with Wireman on the swim platform too....WTF ? Not your choice I'm sure, but with all those $100 bills couldn't you have arranged a hydraulic one ? Shame to have had the boat in a place where they could have made a such a pretty job of one too....

Never mind, when I come to visit next week let me drive the boat back into the shed and I'll make ya a happy man.....

I see you're expecting the trim-tab thieves to pay ya a visit, huh ?
