BINGO...1/15
Despite being severely handicapped out there today due to a lack of deckhands, bait pumps, you name it...and largely as a testament to how good the fishing is out there...we made it back to Punta de Mita through chitty afternoon seas carrying 9 tunas, one dorado, and going 1 for 4 on striped marlin to top things off...
Losing things like bait pumps seems to heighten my ability to pull fish on lures when i would otherwise be using live bait as a crutch...funny thing is i'm actually figuring out ways to catch tunas on lures amidst the bait orgy we all know as the rock...it's surprising what a very, very specialized and tweaked spread will do when the bait goes belly up in the tank... Catching tunas on lures is nothing new...particularly when the fish are with mammals...but if you can get tunas to chew plastics consistently at the rock you just might be onto something...and folks...we certainly are... Thanks to Melton's, Canyon Runner, 7-Strand, and Braid for making all the necessary ingredients paramount to creating an irresistible spread of lucky numbers back there... Of course it will likely all change in a week or so...but for the time being at least i'm enjoying the fact that we've figured out the combination... Tunas, dorado, striped marlin, sailfish, hammerhead sharks...she's snapping out there amigos...GOD DOES IT EVER FEEL GOOD TO CATCH REAL FISH AGAIN!!!!

Rock on Dude!
You do know we enjoy the stories and all... but your pics have a way to put everything in "focus"... WE NEED PICS (and some of the fishing will be fine too). If you and Tony are going to be in Miami from the 14th - 18th, let me know. Tony might remember our Dove Shoot at the Spanish Dagger a couple years ago with Callaway. (I was the one that had a good run at the poker table...or less to drink???). Tell him Hello from Mark. And Josh... I could be tempted to working a stint with you guys. it would be a hell of a learning experience.
