Not the Same Manufacturing...Now in China

Don't want to rain on the parade, but Fin-nor got bought by Zebco (the closed face specialists) out of Oklahoma...

Everything is made in China (not sure if this includes assembly)...They could be just trading on the name here so wait and see until these get roof tested before buying one or outfitting a boat with them. (I imagine we'll see them in Kona, HI...Most 80lb. plust stuff shows up here for testing...We'll let a couple of 600 lb. Threshers pull 600-800 yard off at Mach I and see what happens...Then let some Blue Marlin give them a rip)

For my money the current top guys: Shimano, Accurate Avet and Shimano (yeah they're doing it that much better than everyone) have earned their place in the big game reel world...Shimano's engineering and manufacturing is very, very difficult to beat...Accurate & Avet also work very hard at engineering & product development, but are smaller companies with big hearts.

It would be a great surprise and treat to see another excellent offshore reel come on the scene...But this is not the Fin-nors of old.
