Tried a new seared tuna recipe.....

Found this recipe online for chili powedered based rub, it's great on a asian style salad with cucumbers and a asian dressing: I had something similar at a restaurant in VB that was served over a black bean humas with some type of sauce that was fired up with scirachi. It kicked ass....anyway, I stuck mine on a salad and it rocked. Nice change for the same old black pepper and sesame encrusted same old same old....

1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne
Pinch dried oregano
Salt and freshly ground pepper

Stir all ingredients together. Rub gently onto all sides of ahi tuna. I used a tablespoon or so of sesame oil and equal amounts of olive oil to sear it in a non stick pan.

Here is the link for the entire entourage of crap you can make with it if you feel like eating it on tortillas : http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/reci...ml?rsrc=search
