Get yourslef a bag of Cool Ranch doritos. Don't use nacho cheese cause it'll burn. Open the bag to let some air in and then crunch and mash the doritos till they're the consistency between flour and bread crumbs (the more the better). Dip the filets in beaten egg and then drop them into the doritos bag and shake. Fry them on the stove in hot butter and oil. Friggin Awesome!

    Pecan Crusted Tog

Crush enough pecans to coat the fillets (pulse in food processor or put them in a ziplock and hit em with a pan or mallet). Season pecans with salt, pepper, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (or just a good cajun mix if you have one). Dip fillets in flour, beaten egg, then pecan mix. Fry over medium heat in butter.

I don't even like pecans, but this is my favorite way to eat tog.

A sure thing for any fresh white fish...

Take foil and roll up the edges to make a tray.

    Heat grill to Medium.

Place foil on grill, Place clean dry fillets in foil tray.

Add salt and pepper to fillets( or favorite spices), place pad of butter on filet, pour white wine in tray. If you have a lemon around slice it into rings and lay a few on top to the fillets too.

Cook until done(turns white all the way through)

    Enjoy.

    Flour, hot grease,salt,pepper.

All those other tricks sound good but why screw with the great taste of a tog?

    Tog -- Almost Lobster.... SIMPLE

Someone told me to try this and it really tastes like lobster.

Take your tog filets and cut them into bite size pieces.

Boil a pot of water with about three tablespoons of brown sugar in it.

When the water is boiling, add the tog.

When the water starts to boil again, take the tog out right away (it's done).

Eat it with drawn butter or any other way you'd prepare lobster.
