Slow Cooker Ranch Boneless Pork Shoulder
Heres a recipe I tried last week and the non-carnivores that reside with me even enjoyed it.
1 -Stick of Cream Cheese
1 -Can of Cream of Chicken Soup
1 -Package of Ranch Salad Dressing or Soup Mix ( The dry stuff )
1 - 2.5 - 3 Pound boneless Pork Shoulder
3 - pounds or so of young red potatoes
I bought a shoulder that was in the 3.5 pound range and doubled the ingredients ( not potatoes ). Take your cream cheese and set in on the counter or in a bowl unwrapped to warm up a bit. Cut it into small pieces and put it in a bowl, add the can of cream of chicken soup and the dry mix of ranch and wisk it all together till its well blended. I added a splash of water to make it easier. Set this aside for a minute and grab your roast.
Take the sholder out of the little fishing net that they have it wrapped in. Put some butter in a pan and brown the shoulder on all sides. Add a little salt and pepper too if you like.
Then layer the bottom of your crockpot with these baby potatoes. Put your browned roast on top of it. Pour this ranch flavored concotion over the top of the roast.
Set the old crock pot on low for about 10 hours or so...till its done...
Get a slotted spoon and remove the meat, be careful it will be hot and falling apart splashing you with hot ranch gravy that sticks to ya while it burns...the skin graphs will be worth it, its that good...
