She Crab Soup

True She Crab soup has crab roe in it. Ya'll know ya can't relistically buy she crabs anymore so I was wondering if anyone has tried using Flying fish roe as a substitute?--- too course and grainy?

Dennis, when you go oyster diving again you may want to open that valve on top of the tank--- your brain has been starved of oxygen I believe

It's illegal to keep crabs w/ eggs. When was this ever done? NC I guess.

We are well aware you can't do it now, hense the question for substitutes-- it wasn't that many years ago that you could buy all the sooks you wanted ANYWHERE. You don't use Sponge crabs, but those with eggs still inside. Many a sook has been sold in Baltimore.
