True She Crab soup has crab roe in it. Ya'll know ya can't relistically buy she crabs anymore so I was wondering if anyone has tried using Flying fish roe as a substitute?--- too course and grainy?

I noticed restaurants are still selling "she crab soup", but of course minus the eggs. isn't that false advertising![]()

It's illegal to keep crabs w/ eggs. When was this ever done? NC I guess.
