Vinegar... run a few batches of vinegar through it, then flush with water a few times

Should remove most of the scale

vinegar is the best thing to use, I have always been told white vinegar is best but any will do.

    Hey John,

You going to need about a gallon of vinegar and you'll need to run it through 4-5 brew cycles, then let it sit for half a day or so with the power on and the vinegar still in it. Run a couple more brew cycles, then start rinsing. Probably going to have to go through 8-10 brew cycles with water before the vinegar taste is all gone. If that doesn't do it, contact Keurig. Had a friend who did the same thing and even though it was well out of warranty, Keurig ended up giving him a new machine. He uses filtered water now.
