    Fully Cooked Tuna

Wife loves fish. Eats 'em all. Just can't get over the fact Tuna just doesn't get cooked all the way through. Does anyone have any tasty recipes for Tuna fully cooked ? I only know how to cook it the right way and like it raw with a little sizzle on the outside. To me, when I do cook it all the way through it taste like mush. Thanks for any help.

like a good steak, Tuna is best being a little pink in the center

now, not to sound like a "smart-ass" but if your wife want's her Tuna cooked all the way thru then tell her to open-up a can of Starkist

When you grill it just keep an eye on it so you can get it off the grill when it is just past medium, then quickly wrap it in aluminum foil and set it off to the side for a couple min. It will cook through and still be moist and firm.

My son likes his cooked all the way through (even though he eats it raw - go figure). I usually cut him a steak half as thin as the rest and cook it just like the rest. Since it's thinner, it gets cooked all the way through - even if I sear it. You need to be careful not to over cook it. I like Bert's idea of using foil too.

    Good luck.

While I, like most people, feel that tuna should be seared for 1-2 minutes a side, I know that not all people have the same tastes in fish. If you want your tuna cooked through, I suggest smoking it. It's mighty tasty, and leftovers make a GREAT dip.
