Flounder with crab or Lobster meat rolled inside, then on the grill.
Good fishing to all..I like this old fashion style fresh fish cooking, beside my wife will only let me cook on the grill, she man,s the kitchen
. If i was to have a choise Stripper would be on top then many others, but Rolled flounder is one i like the best. Usually when i go out on the water for the day i set my crab, and lobster traps to check when i come back inland or check them from time to time while fishing, or ill crab a while off side of the boat in areas i know and can get into without running a ground.
.I take my flounder and cut into wide clean strips, then clean the crab meat from the shells, or the lobster meat or both, sqeeze the crab meat in my hand untile its less liquid (not too much) , place it on the flounder falays and with a couple pieces of lobster if cought legal ones, sqeeze a little lemon, pour little melted BUTTER on, a small sprinkle of Paprika, and roll them up and put a couple cooking sticks threw them to keep the to geather, ..mix up melted butter and lemon. Place the rolled founder on the grill (no foil) bast the rolled founder with the the melted butter and lemon mix, little pepper, and sprinkle a litte Red Paprika on top. Let the grill by watching how you like them then turn over and grill other side, untile how you like them cooked, add a couple side dishes of your choosing..ADD a nice day, big lawn chair, a couple beers in the ice bucket, my wife sitting there eating my cooking ( she like,s it)and im in heaven. Its really nothing fancy but i like the tast of the fish and crab,lobster without all that fancy spices and stuff they cook with today.
I love fish on a open grill, down on the open steel grate...OH forgot to say i usually take a good long nap in that big lawn chair after that meal. Good Fishing to all from SaltRon
