Pino is spot on with G&M. Baltimore has about a dozen places that claim the best Crab Cake, and they are all probably right. BTW Phhillips is NOT among the the best, either in OC or B more.

The key is, the only vegetable in a REAL Crab Cake is prasley period, end of story. Pimento, pepper, onion, garlic should NEVER under any circumstances be used.

Here is the real deal Crab Cake recipe.
1# Jumbo lump
1 tbsp mayo
1 egg
1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
1 teaspoon worsterschire
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
A little bit of chopped parsley
4 Nabisco Saltine Crackers
Crisco for frying

Mix mayo, egg, worst. and mustard,
crush the crakers up
Put picked crabmeat in a bowl and mix in the parsley, crackers and add the old bay.
Now add most of your liquid mix and work in the crab meat
with your hands. If it doesn't seem wet enogh add the rest of the mix.

Makes 4 killer cakes

Fry those puppies in Crisco !!! Broiling just aint right.

Serve with saltines and tartar, cole slaw( if you are nice I may give that recipe too) on the side. If in mid summer Eastern Shore Corn and Tomatoes are mandatory.

Hubris, couldn't agree more. I've yet to taste a better restaurant bought crabcake than Mom's and wifey's. That includes the old Crisfield "Captains Galley" the now famous "Drum Pt." Tylerton, Md. cake, although "Ruke's" ain't bad. Unfortunately can't share Mom's receipe but maybe I could twist wife's arm. 1 thing is for sure, all crab and little to no filler, broiled or fried. JMHO
