The fried soft shell sounds good topped with slaw
best crap cake at one time around here (wilmington del) was Hunters den. I like Woody's in North East Md now...the lines are to long some days. Before 5:00 is the best time..after that plan on standing in the bar for a few morgan's and diet coke ![]() |

Not sure nowadays, but back in the day, you couldn't find a better crab cake than the ones served up down at Old Salty's restaurant on Hooper’s Island. Not to create some huge debate, but personally I prefer to use claw meat over lump…I think they have a more “crabby” taste…just Ag’s opinion.

Rukes has a decent sandwhich but if I remember it was pretty authenitc Maryland eastern shore crab cake. The authentic eastern shore crab cake is always fried, never broiled and has quite a bit of filler in it. I prefer mine broiled. G & M resturant in Linthicum, Md has one of the best crab cakes I have ever had. I only wish they used Maryland crabs as opposed to phillipean crabs. texture is the same but the flavor is a hair off. The Ocean City Marlin Club has one of the best broiled crab ball appetizers I have ever ever tasted. Combine that with their tenderloin slammers and you will need a nap really quick!!! |
