Citrus Squirrel

I'll admit, I stole this recipe off another website. But I've used it many a time, last night being the most recent. its super easy, fun, and quite tasty.

First, pour up a few of your preferred adult beverage (mine was Jack&Ginger) and go walk around your nearest woodland, tree filled acreage, or backyard with a good .22 long. dispatch a few good size squirrels, skin and gut them as you normally would.

Next, place them in some foil in a good size baking pan, 10x18 will do fine for 4 squirrels. next, place two pats of butter on each squirrel and squeeze 1/4 of a lime and tangerine (each) over each rat. next season with ground black pepper, garlic salt, and Everglades Heat (google it). cook in the oven @ 350* for 30 minutes covered then sear on the grill for a slight char and good grill marks. serve with mango, pineapple, and red onion salsa.

Yum Yum!!!

hell yea I did. They are also really good cooked on a flat top. season them with garlic salt, black pepper, and everglades heat ( I use that crap on everything). cook till almost done, then turn them stomach cavity down and pour beer over them. it steams them to doneness and keeps them moist.

If you are wondering what they taste like, more flavor than dark meat chicken and the consistency of pulled pork if you strip the meat off.

Tough to say...

but I think any rodent type creature would just be impossible to keep down unless starving. I've eaten all kinds of strange shit, but I just can't fathom eating rodent. I guess it's b/c I grew up in NYC, and the rats in the street would be so big we would throw tennis balls for them to retrieve.
