    BOAT ENGINE BUFFET

For alot of years Pacific Northwest fishermen enjoy a hot lunch on those cold, wet days by wrapping our chicken, pizza, boiled eggs, sweetrolls, pre-cooked hamburger patties, mixed veggies, and a whole lot more in aluminum foil and putting it on the top of the engine while trolling for salmon, or drifting for halibut. Nothing beats a warm meal when getting drenched by rain blowing across your stern. Oh, it only works with an inboard. Don't try it on an outboard or it will be seagull food.

Just a little creative buffet line.

I did something similar on our last fishing trip of '09. Made up a batch of breakfast burritos the night before and wrapped them in foil. The next day I put them on the exhaust manifold of the truck, and when we got to the dock we had steaming burrittos for breakfast with a thermos full of coffee.

    Thumbs up

You can usually smell when the food is ready, wrap it tight in foil and you'll be fine.

A friend actually fabricated some stainless racks to hold canned foods (soup, chili, etc) for warm meals on cold days. Don't forget to punch a hole in the top before heating
