    The best tuna salad recipe

I rarely freeze tuna, I have tried every way , vacum packed, frozen in water, wrapped, freezer bags to me it gets fishy. So I try to eat it up first before it becomes time to freeze it. I have found if you grill it than freeze it world well for making tuna salad. So the last of the tuna from our trip with that's right needed to be dealt with.

So i grilled off the rest of what I had and froze some and made tuna salad out of some
    Tuna Salad Recipe.

2 lbs of grilled fresh tuna
    1 red onion
    1lb of seedless red grapes
    1/2 cup of green onions
    1/2 cup pecans
About 2 cups mayo depending on how wet or dry you want it.
    1/2 lime
Cajun seasoning or old bay to taste
    2 tsp celery seeds

    Dice tuna, onions and celery
    Half grapes
    Combine with wet ingredients
    Add pecans and green onions
Mix well and season to taste

I use this on tuna melts
In salads or eat out of a bowl.

D, I have not canned but want to start doing it my mom used to do all kinds of canning when we were kids. I also had a client that would bring me jars of tuna he'd do and that stuff was out of this world so I want to do it.

Sweet red grapes are awesome in fresh tuna salad. You gotta try it.
    Thanks

    I do something similar

I used to make something sim to this only used toasted almond slivers chopped up in lieu of pecans and it rocked....I also tossed some wood chips on the grill to add a little smokey flavor.
Nuts, grapes and red onions really set off a tuna salad....
    Thanks for posting!

Sublime, Yes it does set it off. I also believe especially using fresh tuna that the grapes add a bit of moisture as fresh tuna tends to dry out when cooked through, So the grapes allow me to use less mayo as they add some moisture to the bite when eating and you don't have to drown it in mayo.
Glad You guys enjoy the recipes.
    Thanks
    Tim
