ok guys here it is since marty and the guys loved these shrimp so much they insisted that i put it up for all of you guys we sell these at our store by the thousands
first- get a stick to put all the food on then get a piece of bacon on just stick it on the last 1' of the bacon strip
second- get a shrimp that is butterflied and put that on the stick make sure it is as far forward on the shrimp as possible or it will be harder to do as we go along
third- get a whole scallop we use dry scallops no floated and put that on the stick along with a 1/2 of scallop
forth- get the tail of the shrimp and wrap it over the scallops so it hold it all together if you didn't leave enough roomon the shrimp its going to be alittle hard
fifth- get your bacon that hanging and start wrapping it around the shrimp ball then just put the tag end on the top of the stick and push the shrimp, scallop and bacon down the stick repeat 4 more times giving you 5 to a stick
to cook- we put oldbay on it before it goes on the grill. put the sticks on the grill at a med. temp and keep rolling it every 5 mins. or so for about 20 mins. or when the bacon gets done now if your like me you can put any kind of bbq sauce on it when its almost done like the last 5 mins this way you don't burn the sauce and mess up the kabob when they are done you can slide them all off the stick and they will stay together put in a bowl and go to town. also you can dip them into cocktail sauce
there will be a video of all these steps of how to put it together and finish it come april enjoy
Damn, that sounds good. If it wasn't blowing 30+ today, I would fire up the grill this evening. I will fire up the grill for some NCAA action this weekend though.
I had the pleasure of eating a few of these the morning after up in MHC. I gotta tell ya, I'm an eatin SOB and these things bumped off Cherry Pez for one of my all time favorites.
They are awsome.
