    Bacon wrapped salmon



    Take a long fillet, slice flesh in the middle of fillet to the skin, fold the fillet so it is skin to skin and put tooth pics through the ends to hold them together.

    Next put fillets in a ziplock bag with olive oil to keep them from stickin to the grill. Remove and wrap raw bacon strips around fillet and poke bacon and skin with a tooth pick to keep it on. Sprinkle spices on it and throw it directly on the grill. Flip fillet as it cooks to cook fish and bacon. When done spread butter over fillet and serve hot.

    Goes great with a salad and your favorite beverage. Not much better than this except maybe fresh elk backstrap!

    Oh, that sounds good.
    Do You par cook the Bacon first, I know when I do it with scallops I have to par cook it. If i use the bacon raw and try to cook it to crisp the bacon the scallop over cooks.

    My dads in Oregon right now and he 's been salmon fishing and hunting just about everyday. One salmon so far, hes fishing on the beach.
