I don't know if you have broccoli rabe down your way but you should try this simple but delicious way to cook these slightly bitter greens.
In a large deep skillet take a package of your favorite italian sausage and brown in a liberal amount of evo, cook to about 3/4 doneness and add 3-4 cloves of finely minced garlic, lower heat and get garlic to slightly turn golden. DON'T BURN GARLIC. Add two bunches of washed, trimmed rabe and pour a half cup of white wine and alittle more olive oil in pan. salt and pepper cover with aluminum foil and cook till greens are tender turning often.

DRAIN IT. HEAT EVO IN THE SAME POT YOU STEAMED IT IN ADD A HANDFALL OF CRUSHED GARLIC CLOVES AND SAUTEE.
SERVE WITH ANYTHING. OR MAKE A SOUP OR ADD TO SPAGHETTI.
