VA beach report

I've been in Va. Beach for a few days and Tieoneon treated me to a night in Lynnhaven and proved that he knows how to steal a drum bite right from under a guy.

We had a great night and a 26"ish drum, a striper, a few blues and a croaker on the fly.

Borski Sliders, and Shrimp flies did the damage.

Great night in a new place. Still can't get that drum on the fly. CALLING LEE PARSONS.

Glad you are having a good time. I landed one and spooked two more with no hook up SAT - but all on spinning gear. They still elude me with a fly as well.

Wish I knew you were in town. I had some drum hemmed up but couldn't cast far enough with the fly rod to reach them. Could see em but could reach em, talk about frustrating. Glad you got to fish though, Lynnhaven is awesome.

Now I am a thief. If I recall, someone was chasing fish on the back side of the island. I was lucky enough to be on the side of the island that had a drum It was fun getting out there with you and fishing. sportfishingusa your welcome to come down and fish, just let me know when you are interested in coming down. I might be up in Jersey around the end of September visiting family. I grew up in Jersey.

Jeremy, while we're waiting on Dave, could you fill us in on the targeted species please?
