I think the shark fly was tied by someone named silverio? Do not know if that is his first or last name, but he was to the front door side of Lefty.
OMC - great event. It was nice meeting you and thanks for the casting lesson. I have been doing what you said with the tree. For some reason I still drop the tip a little on the front side. Gotta work on that. I tried that lure you suggested and it did exactly what you said it would do. Problem was I couldn't get it to where I needed to get it for a fish to hit. Thanks again for all your hard work and effort. Craig |

Great pictures all...
Byrd.. It is a tough fly to cast.. Keep practicing.. you'll get it I promise. Little dudes.. I'm glad you could make it. What you got from Lefty will be memories that last a lifetime. Never give up on the sport. It will teach you more about life than anything else i can think of.. Use those flies like I told you.. drift them.. they are deadly. Yes, those farrar flounder are for anything that will eat a baby fluke...including a big striper.. We'll all go fishing together soon.. The fluke will be on the flats in no time. Byrd... it was Steve Silverio... silverfish flies.. Also.. the guy with the pipe that was doing a casting lesson is a very good friend.. Denis Fay.. gentleman to the core.

Practiced tying crease flies last night. So much easier after watching Buz work his majic. Picked the couple of items I needed today to try my hand at Siliclones. After Tony's tips I am confident I can whip up some those too. And thanks to Dennis, I am working to fix my tailing loop.
For those that look at the pic of Byrd, that is how he looks all the time.
