Tony,

I've been looking around here a bit, thought it was time to post.

Looking forward to Tiefest and will be bringing as many folks as I can drag along. Both of my kids want to come this year. Time to really get them into the long rod and away from the spinning rods. Even my wife is showing interest since the Yacht Club is a good bit nicer than the old venue.

There are also several folks from Carolina who are thinking of coming up. What would be the best places for them to stay? Are any of the hotels on Kent Island doing cheap rates?

The place over near the old Chesapeake Chicken is cheap, as well as the Sleep Inn on the north side of 50.

I can't imagine any of the rates at some of the walking distance hotels can be too high in Feb.

Welcome to the site Mark!

Jake.. great news man. It'll be great to see you guys again.

Reel... come on.. you know TieFest is about Peace Love and Fly Fishing. Feel the flow... be the fly... nananananana... dadadadadadadadada.... (caddy shack)

Hey Sikorski.. don't know what you did today. But dumbass me went goose hunting. It was 7... 7 degrees this morning. We took Brian Horsley out and Sarah went after deer (got one this afternoon)
Anyway... so cold that my gun froze. Literally... my gun froze. Wouldn't load a shell.. I had to put it in the sun to free it up. I wore 1/2 of my entire collection of hunting gear... at once. Looked like the kid from Christmas Story. Still shivering now...

Embrace the propane!

I hung out in a heated pit all damn day. I know that the geese will feed in the warmest point of the day, but for some reason I can't take the thought of missing the flight if I were to get there late. Shot 4 geese all around 2pm. I ran out and picked up 2 geese w/ no gloves on. BAD IDEA.

Gotta get that gun clean and dry. Any moisture(oils included) will ruin a hunt in a jiffy in cold temps.

Congrats to Sarah. Hunting at the Hill Plantation?
