Baitfish color angel hair.... when you get it ...post and I'll explain how to use it or it'll be all over the place when you take it out of the package.

I can't drive yet and the fly shop is sort of far away and i ran out of peacock herl so i want to find something i already have to use as a substitute. if i had more peacock herl i would definently use it.

Whatcha got? The Peacock herl just adds the dark back that baitfish have. OMC is right, the baitfish colored Angel hair is the heat. Experiment with some dark materials you have that will lay well with the bucktail and let us know how it goes.

Are you and Jake going to the Tie Fest this weekend?

You definitely should.

Check Ben Franklin, or Micheal's Craft stores. if you find it you should be able to get a years supply for cheap.

You MD. guys should round up a car-pool or something to make sure he gets to go, if its ok with his folks.

In a pinch you could use a black marker on the top. There are a number of people that make generic white flies and customize them while on the water with all kinds of color.
