mo' mahi

got out yesterday despite the ucky conditions. dave(sweet caroline ) had a plan for BFT but we had to settle for staying inside because of the weather. he had a couple of places that were the farming grounds for Red Lobster. needless to say on the third pot we had a mahi. after some running and jumping we had mahi in the box. several pots later we had a mahi virgin get his proverbial cherry popped. this guy is a die hard trout guy who has never caught a salt species aside from a striper. on his third cast he had one.weather kinda closed in on us and we had to run back in due to some power chumming by some crew . the fly of choice was a surf candy. thanks for another great trip dave, gonna get that BFT soon. yee haa!!!!!!

Very nice....but start taking some PICS!!

I haven't had a chance to get out there after them yet this year and I'm running out of time.

When does the water usually start cooling down and sending the mahi's back south?........end of sept?
