I've never caught hardhead on fly, but am making that one of my missions this summer. any suggestions on how to get it done? Lures, retrieve, etc. etc.?

Boat: Bankes Goliath 21'
Home Port: Any place, any time.
Best Catch: The next one
Occupation: Builder/Realtor
Borski shrimp/ Cherynoble crab.
Flashy clousers.

Get it down on an oyster bar where the noisy bastards are working and drag along the bottom.

I've caught one on the fly. I knew I was in a place where they belonged so I threw on my version of the shrimp and dragged bottom with my Rio lake 7. Well on one slow strip the fly started going the other way. He was a little fellow, but I was all smiles.

We'll hit the De. beaches and catch some wading this year, and if they get in the bay nice and thick we'll have to terrorize your southern neighborhood.
