Hello, this is my first post to this forum. Look forward to sharing some fishing news with all of you and hearing about fishing in other parts of the country.

Fished with a couple of 'sports' today on Oatka Creek in upstate NY. Fished with early with attractor dry flies with some success. Then mid-afternoon the sulphur hatch was fair... did a couple of dozed wild and stocked brown trout. Best of day was this big brown caught on sulphur nymph.

Here is Ian with the best fish of the day:

Beautiful fish! Never have done the freshwater trout fishing, but it sure looks great and a lot of fun. Hope to do it one of these days. Keep us informed on the action and welcome to the forum.

Nice catch and thanks for sharing the pic. I'm mostly salt water these days but I grew up in Vestal, NY and fished a lot of the creeks, rivers and the finger lakes. More recently I've spent some time on Grout Brook near Ithaca in the spring and the Salmon river in Pulaski (when it's not a mad house). Welcome to the site.
