I haven't caught anything too spectacular w/ a 9 wt. Probably an 8lb ish Rockfish.

My 7wt best is a 21 lb rock.

If you're asking to get a good idea of how big a fish can be caught with a 9wt hold on and I'll dig up a pic.

do you use loop to loop to connect leader to fly line, leader to tippet?

if you do use loop to loop.. what kind of knot do you use??
