Finally Decided

A while back I posted a thread asking for guidance in purchasing a fly rod and reel. After having read ya'lls input and getting much help from fishsalmon I have decided on a St.Croix combo.

It is a 9 foot 8wt two piece fly rod with a St.Croix reel. It is normally a $150 combo but I'm getting a great deal on the combo at $82. And it is brand new.

I would like to thank ya'll for the input and especially thank fishsalmon. I'm sure he got tired of answering my questions about fly rods. Thanks for the patience fishsalmon. Hopefully I'll be practicing casting in about 2 weeks.

Let me know as soon as you get it and we will head out and practice. I have plenty of flies we can tie on just in case!!! I bet we can go to our "usual spot" and start catching any day now - just might be croaker.

Great deal! Good luck with the casting! Hope you pick it up faster than I am. (Get ready Lee, as soon as I'm back from my trip, the "beginer casting questions" thread will be back! LOL)
