Dolphin on the Fly

My name is Stewart Gordon and I was introduced to this forum by WAHOONBOX. I own and operate The Green Drake, which is a fly fishing business in Winston Salem, NC. I put together a group of eight fl fishermen to head down to Morehead City to go offshore for dolphin.
We fished with Brian Harrington and Pete Zook.
Saturday was a good day on the water as we caught a dozen nice dolphin on 10 and 11 weight rods using mostly pink and white flies. We also had a 400 pound blue marlin come crash the hook-less teasers about midmorning on Saturday. Loads of fun seeing such a mammoth fish so close to the boat!
Sunday was slower. With a full moon the night before the fish may have chewed on through the night. We still landed eight fish between the two boats.
Our largest fish of the weekend was a 24lb bull.
Wahoonbox was the mate on our boat and we thoroughly enjoyed his expertise and company.
I will post some photos when I get them developed.

Sounds like a blast.

I have the same kinda trip planned for up here in MD in late July.

When you get the pics back we want a full report......WITH ALL THE DETAILS. Lines, leaders, flies.....etc. Ways to do it and ways not to.
