Do tight lines and good times get you excited? Then join CCA Maryland's Kent Narrows Chapter on June 2, 2007 for its 4th Annual Fly Fishing and Light Tackle Tournament at the Jetty at Kent Narrows. The tournament is an excellent opportunity for old and new members to fish, eat crabs, tell fish stories, and for a few individuals to walk away with some bragging rights and prizes. There will be 3 prizes for each division plus an overall grand prize for largest fish. Another feature of the tournament is the Inter-Chapter Challenge. This is CCA Maryland's version of the Stanley Cup. The 'Chapter Challenge Cup' will be awarded to the chapter that the angler who catches the largest fish hails from. This chapter will get the year and its name engraved on the 'Chapter Challenge Cup' and have possession of it until the 2008 tournament. Kent Narrows won the inaugural Inter-Chapter Challenge last year. Will the Kent Narrows Chapter hold the title for another year? Any fly or light tackle gear can be used, no trolling and no live bait. The fishing boundaries are from Rock Hall to Cedar Point, with lines in no earlier than 7 am and out by 3 pm. Where: The Jetty Beachside at Kent Narrows When: June 2, 2007 Lines In: 7 am Weigh in Deadline: 3:30 pm Entry Fee: $30 per Angler YOU MUST BE A CCA MEMBER TO ENTER (CCA membership is $25) Beer and Food will be available from 3pm until 6pm (or later) Koons Ford of Annapolis will be the lead sponsor and because of their generous support it should be a memorable day for everyone. Weather Forecast for June 2: CCA is currently in negotiations with mother nature in order to establish winds less than 25-35 miles per hour on the day of the tournament. Last year anglers fought winds all day but everyone left the Jetty with a smile. That was a great tournament. Light Tackle Jigging is alot of fun and very productive compared to trolling or chumming this time of year. The party was excellent!
Can't wait til next year.
