We had a beautiful calm day. The ocean is still cold. We ran to 100 fathoms on the triple zeros. We trolled down 150 fathom line to the 900 line. We had a swirl prbably a billfish as the line was chafed. The water temp gradually increased from 64 to 70 degrees. The best bite was around the 890 line in 30-40 fathoms. wahoos were caught and King Mackerals were plentiful. We found thousands of Amberjacks over the Malchase Wreck. We tried for Grouper over the 100 fathom curve but no luck. We trolled back up the 100 fathom curve but again ne bites, turned inshore and caught a few Triggers in 30 fathoms. Bluefins are near the Point.
Overall the big migration is just getting started. As the water warms we will see more Pelagics.
