Bites were hard to come by. We fished from the rockpile out to a rip at 130 fathoms and fished 7 miles to the NE along the rip only encountering rare fish. We came into 35-40 fathoms and fished 10 miles to the 230-260 rocks. We encountered an unlucky skipjack and a wahoo and another dolphin. The area from the Rockpile to the 260 rocks was quite slow. A better bite developed inshore on the 360 line but we never got there. Southeast wind and full moon didn't help.
Fishing can be quite humbling. To consistently outwit these critters is as much a challenge as anything I have done in life. Try to have a good time. Try to learn from your experience. As Scarlet ("Gone With the Wind") said, "Tommorrow is another day".
