Widowmaker - Trolling Continues to Produce...11/1

We opted to troll out front again yesterday and almost went chunking thinking it would have been more comfortable on the hook in the bay with the hard wind that was blowing plus the chance to catch one of those monsters that have been caught recently but the upcoming full moon had me worried. I can't explain it but I have never had any success near or on a full moon with the Stripers in the bay, so everyone agreed that we should look around out front. It wasn't too bad in the ocean and though it was a wet ride it wasn't long until we found the fish. We pulled the typical spread of dredges and stretch lures and had all of the Stripers on the dredges and surprisingly we had more of our fish on the 4-arm bar yesterday with the 6" shads out producing the sand eel set-up that has been red hot recently. The bite has been in different spots each day so it requires some running around but once you find the birds the fish will be there. There are also still a good number of 8-10 lb blues around which make it tough on the plastic shads and eels but hopefully it won't be long until they're gone and Stripers will be the only game in town.
