What's biting off NJ?

I am tournament chairman for my fishing club, and our "Potluck" tourney is scheduled for this weekend. For this tourney, we usually match the allowable species to what is running at the time, usually mackeral, flounder, blackfish, cod, seabass, etc.

I haven't been paying much attention to the reports lately , so a little help would be appreciated as I have to set the rules tonite.

Is blackfish still 4 fish until April 30?

Haven't heard anything about the mackeral run yet.

Bass are out, thats next month

Thanks

Blackfish would be a winner, also some cod still around the ledge and the hole... along with some big ling and pollock fluttering around..

Winter flounder has been ok as best but good on certain days...

The bass are not around yet as you have stated...

other than that i believe thats it .lol

Winter flounder are in full swing, that would be your best bet, blackfishing would be second, but prime season for that is really late fall.

Bay Head Shores fishing Club out of Point. Its fairly small, about 100 members. More of a drinking club that occasionally fishes

Sure. I'll send you a PM

There's a few other clubs in the area as well - JCSA and MRMTC come to mind
