We are ready to run for Yellowfins and Bluefins on the super fast 55 Hooked Up 11

We are now putting together regular and make up trips for early season Yellowfin Tuna in the Poorman’s and Washington Canyon’s starting next week. We have the speed to get down to these southern canyons in just a couple of hours plus we probably will move inshore and try for a 100 lb plus Bluefin along the 30 fathom line at the Lumpy Bottom or Parking Lot which are both inshore of the Washington Canyon. These can be 15 hour day trips or 24 overnight trips where we fish for the canyon size large Mako’s in the night. Contact us to take advantage of the early season tuna and shark trips at a substantial discount until July 1, 2009. We are one of the few big charters boats out of South Jersey that has the size and speed to run down south that far to take advantage of some great early season tuna fishing. We had limit catches of Yellowfin Tuna by mid-June the last few years so and we already have reports of Yellowfins in the Poorman’s and Washington Canyons and Bluefins inshore at the traditional 20-30 fathom lumps and hills we often refer to as the Not So Secret Spot.

At this time of year no particular rate as we determine it on how far we run

We take 6 max and before July 1 we do mostly make-up trips at anywhere between $300.00-$350.00 per person depending on how far we have to run to the get the best tuna bite. If it is around 30-45 miles later in the summer for BFT it will be less expensive but early season in June it is going to be mostly canyons to the south for Yellowfins and right now we are looking at 75-85 mile run or in that area. This could change any day now and we have had the tuna much closer by mid-June in the past few years. After July 5th we will offer jigging only trips for BFT at discounted rates plus and again it depends on how far we will have to run. Over all a canyon 15 hour trip is going to run anywhere from around $2400-$2800 depending on if we run 100 plus miles to get in on the Big Eye bite up in the northern canyons later in early August and the price of diesel fuel at our marina. I am leaving pricing at reasonable rates for early season tuna considering the distance we might have to run and I will not go unless I feel there is a very good chance of putting a nice catch of tuna in the boat. We are all about customer satisfaction and repeat business and this is the underlying principal how I run our charter business whenever possible.
