Voyager fishing report, Point Pleasant Beach 9-12 Tuna
Here is a quick tuna report in the few minutes between trips.
We just returned from our first tuna trip of the season and fishing was excellent! We started fish soon after anchoring and picked steadily for the next several hours. The fish were all YELLOWFINS from 20-35 pounds. The fish were caught on jigs and bait with each method being better at certain times. After a couple hour lull we started to catch some beautiful 50-60 pound LONGFIN ALBACORE as well 50 pound YELLOWFIN. Many people had limits+ and high hook was Robert Finkle of Sparta, NJ with 9 YELLOWFIN and LONGFIN.
There is beautiful water in our canyons and this is the best start we have had in quite a few years. If you are looking to cash in on some tuna action, we still have plenty of availability for the upcoming weekend trips, Friday September 16th and Saturday the 17th both leaving at 4:00PM. If you are interested please e-mail .
