Voyager fishing report, Point Pleasant Beach 2-19
February 19, 2011
The last few days of fishing were up and down for us. We caught Cod on most spots with throwbacks out numbering keepers by 3 or 4 to 1. Thursday was the most productive with a high hook of 12 keepers caught by Chris Frka of Staten Island, NY. There were also people with 4-6 and others with one, two or none. The other two days we had high hooks of 4 or 5, but again, some people had one or none. Some other notable catches... Barry Goldman with 9 Keepers, Harry Haimowitz with 5 keepers, Larry Gutman with 7 keepers, Kevin Kovach with 6 keepers, Skip Pietropaolo with a 12 pound pool winner, and Jerry Lombardo with a 8 pound pool winner. There seem to be some Cod everywhere, but there has also been a lot of pressure on the wrecks with the warmer weather and larger fleet of boats. We're sure that with a couple days of rest, the wrecks will be more productive again.
We are sailing SUNDAY and PRESIDENT'S DAY MONDAY at 5:30 AM, weather permitting. Next week, we will be sailing WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY and SUNDAY. All trips will be leaving at 5:30 AM.
Please check our Trip Calendar page after 6:00 PM the night before any of our open boat trips to see if we have canceled because of bad weather. We certainly don't want you to drive here only to find the boat dark with no crew around. Please make sure you hit the refresh button on your browser
