If you were in the area today, you probably noticed all the fog. This made it very difficult for boaters to get out on the water, but they were all too determined to worry about a little fog stopping them. Quite a few boats trailed out of the inlet this morning, one right after the other. It was hard to say what they were going after because we didn't see too much Striper tackle aboard many of the boats. With only a couple more days before Striper season closes, it's not unlikely that there may be a stray Rockfish here and there.

One of our charter boats decided to do something a little different. They went up in the Bay to do Flounder fishing. They reported back to us that they ran across nearly 20 Flounder, but only 6 were keepers. Not bad for the first Flounder of the season!

It got up to a high of 72 degrees here at the beach today which meant a lot of people did some shore fishing. We've had many reports of Speckled Trout and Puppy Drum being caught right in the Inlet, but none actually brought back to us.
