I just returned home from a shark meeting primarily about SandBar sharks { Browns } NMFS / HMS / SE Region are trying to take any and all interaction with SandBars sharks away from Rec anglers and reduce the Comm boats to reduced research. I will post the whole entire plan but what we really need is for everyone to send a post card saying Amendment 2 status quo.


Anglers this is very important We all know the amount of Browns that there are in our area but according to the "" MODELS "" there are none.

Please take this seriously !!!!!!

I will send out my card. I'm heading out for sharks this weekend (Cape May). Probly target the browns. The Threshers may be gone. If you have any tips or spots for the hot weather sharking that would be great.

ADIM has been very busy covering the WMO and fishing the overnight tourney. He'll be getting to it as soon as he can. I think him and I might have to sit down and talk about the latest shark problem so maybe he can prove or show that the DATA / LIES that are being used against all of us are 100% false.

I'm not sure if this applies to the sandbar situation, but one of the most insane things about NMFS is that they will use knowingly erroneous data where no other information exists and extrapolate from that. Their spurious reasoning is that "we have to work from something."

No, really, you DON'T have to work from knowingly BAD data if you have no real data. It just makes no sense. None whatsoever.

I hope all the commercial and rec guys out there belong to a lobbying organization because these are the only folks the politicians listen to.

That applies to the SandBar situation. What's even worse then NMFS is when the Enviros are holding court.

that could spell Disaster for us all!!!!
chunking for tuna, if a scallop boat comes buy and has a brown shark under it and the shark goes for your bait..thats an interaction..shut it down.
fishing the reefs if there is a brown shark there thats an interaction shut that down I have seen the light can you? I.D. of browns and sandbars I dont fish for them so I couldnt I.D. the two..how many other people are like that?
this is a scary scary deal here, its not a rec vs commercial thing its about our freedom to fish the ocean thats going to be taken away by a simple little word called "INTERACTION"......SCARY
