VA Flounder bite still on fire

Fished 8/12 and 8/13. Near the CBBT and Cape Henry

Weds I was solo and caught 5 nice keepers. One of which was 8lb 4 oz.

Thurs had a crew of 4 and caught 8 nice keepers from 8am to noon and went home. Not as many throwbacks as of late but I've been fishing bigger strips/jigs and mullet so maybe the small ones are pulling off. Fish ranged from 19.5" to 25.5"

Anyway, great fishing out there. Best I've seen in the past 2-3 years (for me at least)

Thanks guys. I was very happy to get the big fish on my light tackle jigging rod (on a 3 oz lead head with gulp and flounder skin). Very cool feeling that 'Mat hit the jig!
