Upper DE Bay

Anyone fished the upper DE Bay recently? Thinking of putting in this Friday at Augustine and fishing the breakwater there. Thank you for any helpful info!

How far up you looking. The bite on the Jersey side was very good but when the weather cooled so did the bite. Most fish where off of reeds beach and bug light. Yesterday one of the boats had only 2 fish but they where big fish upper 30lb to low 40's. Most of the fish had been males in the 24 to 32inch range with a few bigger fish mixed in. Tim

Pretty far north and on the delaware side. Approx 3 miles south of the C&D canal. Willing to travel though.

Our bites a pretty far run for you. They have been getting fish off the beach in Fortescue. which is closer to you. I'm sure the first batch of fish we had has made into the mouth of the river, I'd start looking in your usual haunts first. Tim

The reports I'm seeing say the bass are around the Maurice River, around No. 1, Egg Island flats, Horseshoe, out to Miah Maull and east of No. 19. using clam and bunker
