Best Catch: Mrs. Capt-D, Liam and Avery!
Someone will want to check with Maryland fisheries, as I was told by someone that we would need their "permission" via a letter to hold a "rockfish tourny" Maybe wrong, but someone might wanna check.

Well, if it was just a handful of boats, I was thinking of it as a fishing party. No different than us all fishing on the same day.
Plus I was thinking it could be cash only.
Think of it more as a "friendly wager" as to who get's the biggest fish.

the upperbay was usually around the first weekend of october. It worked out because it broke up the fall. It spaced out the tournaments nicely. Having the southern boundry be the bay bridge also forced everyone into a tighter area to search. If we extend it to the choptank, there's a lot of water to cover. Just trying to think of logistics; start, weigh in, etc.

Someone should should check with Md fisheries, but is it really necessary for a "gentleman's contest"? Unless of course someone steps forward to officially organize or sponsor the event. Like a tackle shop? ...
