Me and a couple of friends decided to go fishing off the rocks for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Picked up some frozen herring from Herbs for bait. (Thanks Ele) Got to Turkey Point and started down the trail and man was that fun, with the snow and mud. We were about half way down when Steve slips in the mud and snow and busted his a$#. OUCH It was all good though. We all laughed as he gets up and is covered in mud. Finally make it down the trail and start fishing. But no fish were to be had. Hope they start up soon. It was a good afternoon to be out. Did see this boat running in. If any of you guys go down there be careful those trails are slick.
Be careful on them trails. Can't wait fer the water to warm up.That was a good report on the turkey point. Last 2 years the weather and water cond. were bad hope it gets good this spring. catch a bigen !!
John did you park at the end of the road above the cliffs? I always thought about parking ther but never knew I was aloud. I usually just go down the park road to the boat launches and fish from there or go out on the boats. That looks like my buddies Mako hull, but its not him. He has a big logo on the side of his and a blue T-top canvas. At least you got out and wet a Line. I'm ready for the top water action to pick up there!!!!!!
If you follow rt. 272 all the way to the end it will run into a stone parking lot and you can park there. I think I will give it another 1-2 weeks before I go again or less it warms up quick. I'll post reports when I go out. Are you planning on coming down anytime soon to fish the area? Love the top water action too. Use to have a 16" carolina skiff for when I fished the flats but I sold it.
