you guys did better than us, we fished CH and only had a couple of "barely legal" fish and one nice 38.wall to wall bait but not many fish in it- i know "rock on" had a great day down the just north of the fleet- good luck at the shootout !
Nice work Bob. I stayed near Rudee and just pounded the bait. Caught a 34" fish right away then got a 30 pounder close to the beach. LONG time later a 29"er then another wait...we finally located some hungry ones and got a triple, double and two singles to end the day. These were all 30-34"ers.
Bad news is my drivetrain went caflooey so Seatow had to drag me home. Scared to find out what that will cost me but it was bound to happen some day. I think it is a jackshaft to drive issue...it was like a u-joint gave out at the outdrive connection. Guess we'll see...

Sorry to hear about the boat. Nice job on the fish though. Jim and I scratched out 3 south of the pier one was about 45"-48" If your boat is down for any extended period you can jump on with me anytime

sounds familiar Glenn, i went down to my boat and a bilge full of red tranny fluid yesterday. i think i would rather a good case of the clap that pulling it-but gotta be done. no tourny for me
we fished sat. also out of rudee and it was a madhouse putting the boat in and finding a place to park. the fishing wasn't great by any standard but we did manage to catch 1 fish trolling in front of the inlet. what do you guys think about the guys who shoot out 9 or 10 miles to find clearer water and the fish as was the case saturday? we saw numerous charter boats and others coming in with limits of fish that came from way farther than 3 miles out i know none of you were out past that 3 mile line.
good luck to you guys who are fishing the shootout.
