We had big plans on Saturday to go look for some flatties and togs out in the ocean armed with 50 or so live spot and a bushel of sooks. Today Mike, Capn Pete Bregant and myself fished on Mikes 'Ol Formula "Good Golly" and cleared Lynnhaven around 0615. As we turned the corner after passing the entrance bouy, things looked nice and flat, very encouraging considering the forecast for SW 10. That was soon to change as we started to get past Cape Henry a little bit and the "3 ft at the mouth of the bay" was right on target. We pressed on hoping that once we got beyond "the mouth of the bay" it would lay out some. To make it short and too the point the farthur we went the rougher it got, and we took a @ss whooping. Tried to fish the Santore for a while, but with the wind and current so strong we gave that up in fairly short order, then decided to run towards the tower and then scrapped that idea after a few minutes because of some minor fuel problems. Ran back in to Cape Henry and decided to stop there and wait for the screaming tide to slow (a couple of hours later) but it was a wjhole lot nicer than it was around the corner so we just sat back and enjoyed the day, dropping some of those live spot down on the wreck. Once the tide slowed down we started catching mega mother -in-law fish and not many but a few decent togs and one nice sea bass.. Capn Pete ended up getting a nice paper fish at 9-4. Eased on back home just before dark and thank the good lord for pain killers!!!LOL- it was a good day on the water even if we didnt get to fish according to our plans. A four day weekend coming up this next week and look forward to worken em!!! A side note- congrats to Pete for #6! A couple of pix-
