    Toggin Cape May Reef 1-19-08

Well finally got to fish with one of my Favs Backdoor Billy today. along with the following cast of CHARACTERS....
Jumanji Mark -- who will now be known as "Biz Markie" cause baby you got what I need.....

C&B Joe and hey I got an 18lber Matt...

And Kevin Kennedy -- now known as the "Butt Bandit"....

Well fished with Capt Steve London out of Cape May and he made the right call this morning, originally we were heading to Reef Site 11 to hunt Trophy Togs, but he didn't want to get caught in the weather that was supposed to come in the afternoon, which it never did..... So we fished a nice wreck on the CM Reef with intentions to move further off if need be....

Well first wreck was really all we needed as the morning was drop and reel action, but the problem was it was 70 percent shorts...hey we were ok with it as it was a beautiful day and that type of action in Jan on the reef is awesome.... then a few big fish showed... I think I had an 8, then Billy had a 10, followed by Matt with a 9+, then C&B tried to swing a 10 which of coarse never made it past the gunnel.... then I got railed and landed a 14 lber.... around this Time Capt Adam of the famous Adam Bomb called Steve to say site 11 was sucking big time and they had only 6 fish in the boat..... so Steve told him to come join the party as the chew was on, and it was till 12 noon and then someone threw the switch and a real struggle of a pick was on for the rest of the trip... we did land more fish but nothing big or close to big after that.....

Finished the day with our 8 man limit heading back to the inlet in still flat calm seas....
