I went fishing early this morning on my jet ski at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. It was epic Tautog pullage for me, I caught 16 in less than an hour and kept four up to 21 inches. The first hour was slow, but once I found them it was non stop FISH ON! I only had 25 live fiddlers with me so I made good use of them. I was back at Crab Creek Boat Ramp in Lynhaven Inlet by 0900hrs and worked the rest of the day. Conditions were flat but with big ocean 5-7 foot swells making it tricky to work the piles but it paid off.
My wife has a couple of friends over every Thursday, they paint and drink wine. Tonight was Laura's birthday so I made some Tog-A-Licious appetizers for them. I baked some tog fillets and then put pieces on Triscuit wheat crackers with some salsa. I topped it off with shredded mozzarella cheese and put them back in the oven for a minute to melt the cheese. The girls gave me a thumbs up as they devoured up my Tog Bites.
This is one of the reasons my wife continues to let me go fishing, Ha!
Here are some pictures.
