It was a great time. Everything seemed to fall into place. We had a plan and headed south from Kent Island toward Parkers Creek, found bait, found fish and I dropped a jig on them in about 25' of water. The first fish that bit was the winner. Ended up catching a couple dozen other stripers but nothing bigger than what I already had.
This was my fourth time fishing this tournament. I finished in third place five years ago on a very windy day. Although I really wanted to win this tournament I approached it very casually. As you can see from the picture, I won a rod, reel and tackle box but it was the bragging rights which meant the most.
